Applications are invited for the post of User Experience Coordinator (Extended Hours) in the Customer Services Team of the Library Services.


Reporting to the Head of Customer Services, you will be proactive with a dedication to the delivery of quality frontline services.

The library promotes a positive and inclusive environment, and you will be part of a team committed to supporting the needs of our diverse student community, with keen equality, diversity, and inclusion values.


Overseeing both in person and digital enquiry services, you will be a creative and confident problem solver, taking responsibility in a range of situations as they arise.

You will demonstrate strong delegation and organisational skills.

With previous experience of managing a team, this role is key to the continuity of service delivery outside of regular core hours and has line management responsibilities for team members working weekends and evenings (Extended Hours team).

You will have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve shared goals.

You should have previously worked in a customer service environment, have good IT skills, and be committed to continuous service improvement.

The hours of work are based on full-time roles: 35 hours a week.

Core working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00, but the postholder will be required to work weekend and evening hours to support the Extended Hours Team.

These hours can be flexible as agreed with the Head of Customer Services, however, it is expected that you will work one evening until 6pm and one day at the weekend.

This role is mostly campus based, however there is some opportunity for the postholder to work remotely.
