Attendance / Welfare Officer | Supportive Secondary School | Acton

What will the Attendance / Welfare Officer role involve day to day?

  • Engaging with parents and students through telephone discussions and home visits, although formal meetings may also be required on occasion
  • Close liaison with the academy's attendance officer, as well as working with the wider pastoral team
  • To conduct welfare check visits, as required
  • To maintain accurate records of all actions taken in relation to improving students' attendance
  • To keep the attendance officer and pastoral team updated about the nature and impact of interventions
  • And much more wider responsibilities supporting the pastoral team at the school, a truly diverse and exciting opportunity
  • A recent graduate with a passion for supporting students pastoral and wider needs
  • A person who understands the importance and is motivated to secure the best possible outcomes for all students
  • Someone who is emotionally mature and resilient
  • Any graduate with aspirations to work in a pastoral team within an education setting have the ability to genuinely change pupils lives for the better
  • Hold a valid UK/EU Driving Licence and car
  • Essential
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Essential
  • Ideally degree educated but not essential passion for the role and pupil progress is the crucial part

ROLE / SCHOOL DETAILS:


  • Monday
  • Friday 8am 4pm, no weekends
- £21,000 - £22,000
  • Term Time Only
  • Permanent contract
