Teaching Assistant at SEN School

TA required at SEN schools based in and around Peterborough - £90 per day based on experience - Start ASAP - Long term role


Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual who is looking for a rewarding role in education? If so, we have some exciting local opportunities to join an SEN school as a Teaching Assistant.


As a Teaching Assistant at an SEN School, you will have the opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and sensory processing disorders.

You will work closely with the teacher to provide support and guidance to these pupils, helping them to reach their full potential and achieve their academic and personal goals.


Teaching Assistant at SEN School - located in and around Peterborough

Experience working with SEN children desirable

Long term role starting ASAP - £90 per day

Training and development opportunities available
***To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a range of skills, including patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children with SEN. You will need to be an excellent communicator, able to work well in a team and build positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals involved in the care of pupils with SEN. You will also need to be adaptable and flexible, able to respond to the changing needs of pupils and the school.


Key requirements**:


  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is preferred, but not essential
  • Knowledge of different special educational needs and strategies for supporting pupils
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children with SEN
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and professionals
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills
