An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated individuals to undertake the role of Corporate Vetting Decision Maker. You will manage your own case load, making daily decisions taking into account threat, harm and risk.
You will work closely in support of the Team Leaders and The Force Vetting Manager.
You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to vetting matters assisting Essex Police in its integrity strategy.
The work will be both interesting and demanding.You will undertake detailed research and development of Intelligence and other sensitive records & reports in determining the suitability or not of staff for appointments.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of competent computer skills as this role requires you to research and interrogate systems daily.
Essential
Experience of assessing information, identifying risk and decision making
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals
Managing several competing demands with a need for prioritisation and ability to work independently
Desirable
Practical understanding of Data Protection
How you have transferred your skills or have had to mentor another colleague
