Calling all Technical Operator's... This one is for you


I am currently representing a leading international FMCG organisation manufacturing cosmetic and pharmaceutical products working either double days or permanent nights.

In this role you will be working within a multi-disciplined team who are packaging and inspecting products, carrying out assembly, and adjusting and cleaning complex packaging and machinery for packaging runs.

You will be working with pressurised systems both water and air making sure the line is optimised for balance and performance, rectifying minor faults and supporting the Engineers on major breakdowns.

In return, they offer an impressive salary ranging from £23-£28k depending on the shift pattern.


Responsibilities for the Technical Operators:

  • To be able to take ownership of your own development and progression.
  • Work as part of a Multidisciplined team packaging and inspecting products.
  • Carry out assembly, adjustments and cleaning of complex packaging machinery for packaging runs.
  • Removing change part's repairing where appropriate and ensuring they are stored properly.
  • Once trained, you will install and change parts and line equipment for a new run.
  • Be able to work with pressurised systems (water and air) making sure the line is optimised for balance and performance.
  • Rectify minor faults and support the Engineering team with major breakdowns.

Requirements for the Technical Operators:

  • Demonstratable skills in mechanical comprehension, communication, numeracy, literacy and together with an interest in engineering.
  • Have some experience in contributing to process improvement activities.
  • Significant knowledge of health and safety processes.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing processes in Food, FMCG or packaging.
  • To be able to demonstrate elements of process/standard improvements, fault finding and working in a flexible team environment.
