Your New Role:


We have a fantastic opportunity for an Account Lead to join our Consulting Highways team in North Wales to work on NMWTRA.

The NMWTRA was established in 1996 as an executive agency of the Welsh Government. Its responsibilities include the management and maintenance of the A5, A483, and A494 trunk roads in North Mid Wales.

These roads cover a total of approximately 180 miles and provide key transport links between North Wales, Mid Wales, and the rest of the UK.


Overall, the NMWTRA plays a crucial role in ensuring that the trunk roads in North Mid Wales are safe, well-maintained, and provide an efficient transport network for the region.

You will be responsible for:


  • Manage a portfolio of highways projects, ensuring that they are delivered to the highest standard, on time, and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to project teams.
  • Ensure that projects comply with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Identify and manage risks and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Significant experience in the highways sector.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate project teams.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
