Description
We have a rare vacancy for a Delivery Suite Co-ordinator to join our Acute Maternity Service.

The post-holder will join the existing team of co-ordinators to ensure two Band 7's on each shift to give the team visible leadership.

You will also be allocated a small team of midwives to manage as well as the day to day co-ordination of the shift.

This is a challenging position for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated midwife who has a good level of clinical experience.

It will involve working closely with the multi-disciplinary team in a very busy acute area and involve the demonstration of leadership and management skills.

There is a requirement to participate in the unit on call rota after the induction and orientation period.

The post holder will work to:

Create an environment where the patient is central to all decision making and the delivery of high quality compassionate care is ever ones prime objective.

To co-ordinate the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of the core and rotational midwifery staff on delivery suite.

This includes acting as an expert recourse to the multi-disciplinary team, to support them in the delivery of high quality patient focused care, ensuring that all staff work in a professional manner and all registered staff are working as accountable practitioners.

Demonstrate effective clinical leadership and role modelling, be able to inspire, motivate and empower others.

This will require the post holder to be highly visible and to have an accessible approach to women, their families and staff.

This is a senior midwifery role within the organisation and there is an expectation that the post holder will fully participate in the clinical and professional leadership of the department.
