Senior Administrator NHS with EMIS experience

HOURS:
full time 37.5 hrs


RESPONSIBLE TO:
Assistant Services Manager


ACCOUNTABLE TO:
Business Manager


SALARY:
£13 - £15 per hour depending on experience


Duties and responsibilities:


The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the practice admin team may include any or all of the areas stated below.

Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of your line manger, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels.


IT support:


  • Provide staff with IT support in relation to IT equipment, logging the calls with NELCSU as required.
  • Manage & update Practice website and promotional materials.
  • Run Emis reports and searches.
  • Write and update EMIS templates (clinical and documents).
  • Manage AccuRx templates.
  • Send AccuRx and MJOG campaigns.
  • Manage & send out Practice Newsletter to the patients.
  • Issue new staff with necessary windows, emis, docman logons as required; reset staff logons as required, liaise with smart card team.
  • Staff IT inductions.
  • Liaise with EMIS, MJOG, DOCMAN, ACCURX, NELCSU and any other third parties to report and fix issues which staff may be facing.
  • Carry out IT security audits and maintain IT equipment register.
  • Cable management to ensure it is maintained according with health & safety and faire safety guidelines.

Registrations

  • Registering new patients in line with practice protocols and procedures ensuring data quality and agreed timescales are met.
  • Liaising with PCSE to ensure all patients are correctly registered on their site.
  • Carrying out list reconciliation exercises.
  • Processing Patient Online Access requests.

Records Management

  • Ensuring that patient records management processes are up to date, to include incoming and outgoing notes.
  • Dealing with FP22 and FP69 reminders.
  • Sending records to and requesting records back from Dataspace.
  • Liaising with PCSE on all queries in relation to registrations and stock ordering.

Clinical Alerts


To ensure that all clinical alerts and MHRA are reviewed and the appropriate action is taken, adequate staff infirmed and a record of it is kept.


Premises Management & Risk Assessments:


Completing periodic & annual /Legionella/Health and Safety/ Infection Control/ Fire /Emergency lights / PAT testing / COSHH assessments and ensuring that all actions are completed.


Deputising for other administrative staff members
Scanning & read coding the incoming post / workflow
