We are currently recruiting for Senior Accounts Payable Assistant to join our passionate and driven team based at our client's site in Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the Accounts Payable Team Leader with overseeing the "Projects" accounts payables ledger.
  • Improve the processes of the ledger bringing them all in line with the best practice for processing, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers across the ledgers.
  • Support with processing supplier payments weekly, ensuring all due payables are included.
  • Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, becoming a point of contact for the resolution of AP issues.
  • Review purchase order and invoice workflows.
  • Support running management reports on statement reconciliations, supplier ledger debit balances, payments falling out of terms and invoices awaiting approval.
  • Create payment lists, ensuring payments are processed and approved in a timely manner.

About You:


  • Highly competent on Excel.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and manage own workload and workload of the team.
  • Confident communicator, with the ability to articulate financial information and analysis to stakeholders.
  • Independent thinker, keen problem solver with a 'can do' attitude.
