Mental Health In-Patients Matron/Pathway Manager - Band 8a

Full time, Permanent Role


The post holder will work in conjunction with the General manager, Head of Service, Associate Director of Operations, Associate Director of Operations for Safety and Quality and Professional Leadership for their area to lead the provision of efficient, effective and high quality professional and well, co-ordinated services which meet all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the contracted activities of the Trust.


The post holder will work as one of a number of Matrons who contribute to the wider Adult Mental Health Directorate service management team and participating on the on-call rota.

We are looking for visible dynamic and inclusive leader to join our team. Applicants need to have strong core nursing skills and strive to deliver excellence to our patients and local communities.

Excellent communication skills is imperative and the ability to be able to work autonomously, act as a positive role model and as a effective leader within a team environment.


The matron post is to cross cover sites across Coventry and Warwickshire and deputise for the Head of S as required.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and talented Matron who can provide senior operational management and leadership, within the Adult Mental Health Directorate.

The role will work in conjunction with other Matrons to manage inpatient services on the various Mental Health In-Patient sites with the two main sites being the Caludon Centre and St Michaels hospital.


Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.


Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services, we see on average around 5,000 patients every day.
