On 1st October 2018 a new statutory body within NHS Wales came into being, working across the health and education sectors.

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) oversees the strategic development of the health workforce in Wales, including workforce planning, leadership development and education commissioning.

It sits alongside existing Health Boards and Trusts to be the eleventh member of the NHS Wales family.


These permanent full-time posts offer an exciting opportunity to join the Nursing and Health Professional Education Directorate, working within the Education, Commissioning and Quality team, providing admin support for the Pre-Registration and Post-Registration programmes.

The post will provide administrative support to enable the team to meet their objectives.

You will have advanced IT skills and be confident in creating appropriate records of meetings as required along with monitoring actions.

The ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external staff and stakeholder ensuring all aspects of administrative support is delivered is essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.


Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is the strategic workforce body for NHS Wales with statutory functions that include education and training, workforce planning, workforce development and transformation, leadership and succession planning, and careers.
