Due to an unprecedented opportunity within The IAA and IAA CS we are looking to recruit a Head of Communications and Marketing to join our senior leadership team and help develop and deliver our communications and marketing strategy for the business.

This is an exciting opportunity which includes the promotion of a new academy offer, promotion of Energy Efficiency exhibition space, continued promotion of our wider certification and commercial offer and management of PR campaigns.


General

  • Develop and execute strategic communications and marketing plans
  • Establish a clear brand proposition and a coherent brand message which is delivered across all channels. Manage approval processes to ensure communications and marketing materials meet brand guidelines.
  • Anticipate and develop strategies to meet internal/external business needs, manage multiple campaigns across diverse channels to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Manage monitoring of key competitor activity and market trends, establish threats and identify new opportunities where appropriate.
  • Effectively manage the Marketing team including performance management, appraisals etc.
  • To develop and deliver the companies PR strategy, media relations, internal communications and operational plans
  • To foster and maintain excellent relationships with key regional, trade and national contacts in a range of media, and with the press functions of the Association of Companies, local authorities, employers and other stakeholders as required.
  • To develop an appropriate and consistent voice for the Company through key messaging.
  • To support reputation management through advice and support of wider Company staff
  • To maintain appropriate records to assess and report on the effectiveness of PR activity, adjusting activity where appropriate against targets and the Marketing team's quality improvement
  • Effective reporting on statistics for campaign management and ROI to include strategy planning for improved results

PR

  • Manage all necessary public relation events in support of the brand and Company communication strategy
  • To coordinate relevant PRled events and to provide event management and PR support to other major events across the Company
  • Foster a rapport with the local media and create mutually respected relationships. Contact the media to ensure coverage of innovative programmes, positive developments etc
  • Act as the key point of contact internally and externally for all Press Relations activity
  • Ensure all communications comply with and reenforce the brand position.
  • Minimise negative coverage by developing crisis management strategies, contingency plans, messaging statements and briefings.

On-line

  • Increase positive site traffic through a mix of online and offline marketing and promotional initiatives and increase awareness of online channel in the target marketplace
  • Develop and manage the Company's social networking communications strategy.
  • Evaluate traffic patterns within the site, implementing tracking and management systems to check number of visits to site.
  • Plan and manage appropriate content on website and manage the development of the website in line with business requirements.
  • To direct social media and digital marketing activity as it relates to PR activity including the creation of content.
  • Actively support the Company's values, policies and procedures, particularly responding to those relating to health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity, data protection and information sharing
  • Carry out such duties and responsibilities under the Health and safety at Work (etc) Act 1974 and associated legislation as described in the Company's Health and Safety policy documents
  • Such other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as may be reasonably required

Event Management

  • Promote use of facilities and research opportunities externally for clients and events
  • To produce detailed proposals for events for organisation under the CIGA group
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and events logistics
  • Produce post event evaluation and strategy planning

Salary and Company Benefits
- £46,000 - £49,000 - depending upon experience
