Location:
Hybrid between remote and 1 London Bridge with expectation to visit other sites in the HCA group.


Contract Type:
Fixed Term Contract 2-2.5 years dependent upon project completion

EHR Pharmacy Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert
We are excited to be recruiting a team of Subject Matter Experts within the Pharmacy workstream.


As a Subject Matter Expert involved in the EHR Project you will be an expert in a specialist clinical or operational area and highly credible among your colleagues.

Subject Matter Experts play a key role in ensuring that the programme accurately captures and responds to clinical and operational needs and translates current workflows into the digital arena.


You will be required to work with the wider programme team to support the EHR rollout and transformation of HCA to our new digital system.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Reporting to HCA's EHR Pharmacy Change Lead, accountable for the progress against the Pharmacy workstream KPI's for scope, map, design, test, implement, evaluation of the new EHR system.
  • As the Pharmacy Supply Chain SME, you will undertake process mapping of all current ('asis') pharmacy supply chain workflows across the HCA U.K. group. This will involve meeting with colleagues at sites, as well as undertaking observation studies and documentation of ways of working, including (but not exhaustively) all medicines procurement and supply chain pathways to & in HCA facilities.
  • Participate in designing new workflows, ways of working and content design of the complex pharmacy services for patient and users, within the new EHR programme.
  • Work with business analysts to specify the required system configurations in order to assure safe and effective systems.
  • Participate in the testing and checking of pathways before transfer to the new live EHR system.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of related processes, standards and procedures, ensuring that all pharmacyrelated pathways are consistent, fit for purpose and appropriate within the environments where patients are cared for.
  • Degree Qualification or equivalent experience
  • Clinical registration
  • Hospital Pharmacy Supply Chain Expertise
  • Worked in or with UK hospital pharmacy in procurement/ supply chain experience.
  • Experience of acting as a key contributor to clinically based digital projects
  • Organization development: understanding of the requirements of an information culture and emerging technologies
  • Experience of acting as a key contributor to clinically based digital projects

It will be advantageous to have been involved in implementation of an EHR system in healthcare industry.
