    Job Description

    In this role, one will assist in the administration of more complex projects. Monitors and schedules the flow of materials, components, assemblies, and inventory. Performs detailed inventory analyses and addresses problems to keep system data accuracy high, excess inventory minimized, and manufacturing plans on schedule

  • Works with regular indirect supervision
  • Able to do broad-scope inventory analyses, and able to make decisions based on such analyses.
  • Able to execute inventory carrying, usage, and planning decisions based on own research and decision-making with some consultation with Manager/Supervisor.
  • Regularly interfaces with inventory management and warehouse department, engineering, workshop, and project teams when making decisions requiring judgment or resolving issues requiring creative solutions.
  • Able to make assessments about supply/demand issues, recommend thorough solutions, and take initiatives to address those issues with direct input from supervisors.
  • Able to perform analyses on processes related to or including materials planning activities, and recommend and implement process changes to improve results.
  • Errors are detected indirectly by way of reviewing excess inventory, part shortages, and excessive expediting.
  • Possible impacts include late assembly starts, missed on-time deliveries, expensive excess inventory, and higher product costs due to expediting.
  • The impact of the errors could lead to the loss of TechnipFMC's market share and poor financial performance of the Subsea Services Business.
  • Frequent contact with Operations Project Managers and Deputy Project Managers, Customer Operations Planners, Engineering, Procurement, Quality Assurance, HS&E, and all Shared Services within Subsea Services.
  • All interaction with internal stakeholders occurs to ensure proper execution according to customer requirements.
  • You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field.
  • Recognized as having a thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted internal business processes and procedures.
  • Ability to independently work through individual projects and/or play a key role in broader projects.
  • Ability to identify and solve functional issues and improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges.
  • Ability to recognize and make corrective recommendations regarding contractual requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Consult and help others to recognize when to consult with other departmental functions.
  • Skills

  • Ability to analyze trends or deviations from standards.
  • Strong computer proficiency with applicable software applications in related fields.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to define deadlines and manage priorities of self, team, and/or project is critical.
  • Ability to identify compliance, regulatory, and technical risks and assist in developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Able to make recommendations related to project scope changes
