At Firntec, we are a Building Compliance Consultancy working, within Firntec we have our cladding and façade department where we work closely with our clients to understand and manage cladding combustibility risk, defects and remedial issues and supporting clients ongoing throughout their façade remedial projects.

We are currently working with a range of clients from social housing providers, landlords, and management companies.


As a Façade Support Technician, you will be responsible for working closely with our senior Façade consultants onsite to undertake the cutting and core drilling of samples in the façades of a wide variety of buildings.

Our Façade consultants will provide the advice and write the survey reports but will work closely with the external wall operative where you will be responsible for taking samples and photographic evidence including then making good.


Key Responsibilities of the role:


  • Operating a MUPE and cutting samples of façades of a variety of buildings
  • Working closely with the senior Façade project consultants on large amounts of surveying jobs, who would provide advice on jobs.
  • Listening and acting upon the instructions of the senior Façade Consultants who will advise on location of samples and evidence required.
  • Working with our variety of clients to deliver the best quality of service whilst on site.
  • Supporting with creating the inspection reports and working with the consultant.
  • Investigating the make
- up of different façade system, including taking measurements.


Key Requirements:


  • UK Driving Licence
  • Background in Building and Construction
  • Ability to potentially operate a MUPE if possible
  • Ability to travel
  • Great listening and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident with working at height

Salary:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Experience:

Cladding Surveying: 3 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (preferred)
