Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and become part of a highly motivated and progressive team within Library & Student Services.

As part of the Student Life team, the Student Life Advisers work as part of the second level tier of Student Advice, receiving escalated referrals from frontline teams within the Student Support Network, triaging needs, managing risk, and supporting service users to access the full range of relevant professional services.

Each Adviser also works as a Student Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Adviser, contributing to our Support, Report, Respect provision, providing non-therapeutic support to students who are survivors of gender-based violence and hate incidents.

The ideal applicant will have experience of working in an advice setting and a sound understanding of the higher education sector.

They will be a strong team player, have excellent communication skills, and be passionate about the delivery of accessible and inclusive advice provision.

This is an onsite role with a base within both Student Services Centres at City and Headingley campuses.

Interested applicants can find out more about the team by visiting our dedicated webpage.

If you're looking to join a friendly, supportive, and creative team, dedicated to ensuring students are at the heart of everything we do, we'd love to hear from you.

Working here means you'll also have access to a wide range of benefits including our generous pension schemes, excellent holiday entitlements, flexible working, reduced study fees, subsidised fitness facilities and a lot more.
