Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant

£35,000 / annum plus competitive benefits package

Hybrid working offered (3 days in office / 2 from home)

Butler Rose are delighted to be partnered with this fast moving SME who are going through an exciting stage of growth and looking to add an experienced Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant to their team.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller you will take full responsibility for the Purchase Ledger function, and will therefore be very confident and experienced in this area and be an excellent communicator.

This role would be well suited to someone who has an excellent attention to detail, is a confident communicator in order to build relationships both internally and with external suppliers, and is motivated in a process driven environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small team of 5.

who each play an integral part in the wider finance function within the business and so you will be able to really see the impact you have and where your work is valued.

Duties of this role are focused around, but not limited to:

Working with internal teams to ensure accurate stock recording against PO's
Invoice processing, coding etc
Posting of bank transactions across several accounts
Processing of employee expenses weekly
Statement reconciliations
Maintenance of the PO system

Within this role you will also have the opportunity to work on month end duties, including:

Fixed asset reconciliations and depreciation posting
Intercompany reconciliiations
Accruals and prepayments

You may have good purchase ledger experience currently and be looking for a role that really utilises those skills in an indepth and fast paced environment - less a focus on high volume processing and more a focus on the detail and queries - this is a great role to develop your understanding of the AP function within a wider business.
