Are you a practical person, with handyman skills and want to use your free time to make a difference?:

Katharine House Hospice offer the best care so that people in our community, affected by progressive illnesses, can live their lives to the full

We are looking for a hard-working, well organised individual to help our maintenance team on an ad-hoc basis to help ensure the Buildings and grounds of Katharine House are tidy and in good repair.

You will help carry out preventative and reactive maintenance for all our sites, which include the Hospice, Clinic, Business Centre and 15 retail premises.

This is a physically demanding role, involving regular moving and handling tasks. Experience of basic plumbing and carpentry would be an advantage.

This post requires unsupervised working with vulnerable adults, an enhanced DBS clearance is therefore a requirement.

A full driving license is required with access to an adequately insured vehicle, as well as flexible approach to work with the ability to work within in a team or on their own initiative.
