    Letting Manager Position at Somerset Council

    Join the dynamic team at Somerset Council as a Letting Manager, where you will play a crucial role in leading the housing lettings service. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the timely relets of void council homes, aligning with Homefinder Somerset Policy and the council's Lettings Policy. Manage the reletting process for approximately 400 council properties annually, overseeing advertising, shortlisting, verification, offers, and reletting to minimize rent loss efficiently.

    Key Information:

    • Rate: £20.39 per hour.
    • Hours: 37 per week.
    • Working Arrangements: Hybrid working - 3 days per week in the office.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Housing Management Qualification regulated by Ofqual equivalent to a level 4 or 5 certificate or diploma in Housing, or a foundation degree from the chartered institute of Housing - as required in the social housing regulations bill.

    Essential Knowledge:

    • Substantial in-depth knowledge and understanding of Lettings management.

    Essential Experience:

    • Proven experience in a senior Letting Service role, preferably in social housing.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff in a customer-focused environment.
    • Track record of policy and procedure implementation.
    • Successfully monitored, achieved, and surpassed individual targets.
    • Contributed to service improvements catering to diverse stakeholder groups.

    Compliance Requirements:

    • 3 years referencing.
    • Right to Work.
    • Enhanced DBS.
