    Role Overview

    Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team.

    Our MLS team design outcome focussed solutions with clients, combining high quality, flexible and agile people with tech to meet these needs. Our clients achieve more through simplification, standardisation and automation of their processes and documents.

    The Commercial Lawyer is responsible for supporting our clients by utilising our industry experience, knowledge of the client and our legal skills to provide solution focussed advice and outcomes. We have deep relationships with our clients and take the time to understand their business, their needs, and their operating environment.

    Through our bank of international legal experts, our industry insight and our ability to interrogate data, we provide our clients with meaningful insights, efficiencies and improvements with regards to their contracting methods, legal spend and general risk management.

    This is an exciting time to join a newly established team with a high growth trajectory.

    Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.

    Candidate Overview

    We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified Lawyer with 3 - 5 years' PQE gained within a busy private practice or inhouse legal team
  • Strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of industry trends, risk mitigation and able to recognise and drive efficiencies
  • Technical excellence in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a wide range of mainstream commercial contracts work.
  • Highly responsive, able to manage to deadlines and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Familiar and comfortable with working with technology for document drafting, review and matter management
