The Opportunity

Due to the winning of a number of high profile commercial office projects they are now seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their existing Project Management team in London.

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join the team within the London office to help develop and drive their Commercial Fit Out capability and reputation in the market, working on high profile projects throughout London and the Southeast.

Thisis an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to join and strengthen their team, working on a range of projects including New Build, Cut & Carve, Refurbishment and Fit Out projects.

Key responsibilities and areas where you will assist on projects include

  • To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances
  • Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies
  • Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
  • Management and preparation of key stage reports from feasibility through to completion and posthandover
  • Preparation of various programmes
  • Management of meetings, taking and preparation of minutes
  • Preparation of progress reports and presentations at monthly client meetings
  • Assisting in the running of a competitive tender process including managing queries from tendering contractors
  • Assistance with the preparation of contract documents
  • Management of multidisciplinary project teams
  • Working knowledge of building contracts
  • Experience of administering building contracts
  • Regular reporting to clients and internal client teams
  • To support development of targeted marketing material, bid documents, capability statements and attend networking events
  • To support in the development of fee proposals and responses to RFPs
  • Construction related degree or a similar construction related qualification with at least 1 year of experience in the sector.
  • Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, welldisciplined and commercially astute
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Customer service, communication and client/external interface skills
  • A team player with a 'can do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable and flexible
  • Ambitious and keen to learn and become chartered.
