Would you like to join a high-profile finance team in Army Headquarters? The Capability and Equipment Finance Team (CEFT) operates in a dynamic, fast paced environment embedded in with Army's capability and equipment leads, ensuring the affordability of the Army's £45Bn Equipment Programme
Our responsibilities include:
- Management and delivery of a balanced Equipment Programme across the Planning Horizon and In-Year
- Management of both the Equipment Modernisation Portfolio and In-Service Capabilities
- Provide financial support to the Capability Balance of Investment process
- Financial scrutiny of Equipment Business Cases
- Provide financial policy, advice, and guidance to our customers
- Offer finance training to the wider AHQ community
- Act as the financial link into the Delivery Agents
The Challenge:
CEFT manages the £45Bn Equipment Programmes and spends £3Bn each year maintaining and developing the Army's Equipment Programme in pursuit of its strategic objectives
CEFT aim to provide the 'best in class' financial management, reporting to/and advising a wide range of customers across the breadth of the Army HQ, ensuring value for money for the taxpayer across the Army's Equipment Plan, whilst offering a diverse range of challenges and development opportunities.
A CEFT Equipment Finance Officer is responsible for providing financial support and advice to the Army's Equipment Plan Budget Holders, against the delegated Control Totals.
Each post will work closely with a wide variety of contributors from Army Equipment Leads to Delivery Agents to other Finance Teams across the Army HQ.
This role may require travel to Corsham or Abbeywood (though the visit frequency will depend upon complexity and materiality of the delegated budget).
