Our client is an international market leader in life sciences, providing world leading products to a broad range of sectors.


We are seeking a commercial director, experienced in the management of sales teams, to join our client's scientific software department to lead their EMEA sales team.

The software portfolio is paramount in providing a means of visualization within ElectronMicroscopy, Materials Sciences and Structural Analysis.

In this position, you will be tasked with:

  • Communicating with assigned sales representatives in order to communicate, strategize, plan and implement sales efforts within the region
  • Work with sales representatives to build customer pricing strategies and proposals
  • Develop major account relationships at the executive level
  • Communicate effectively with the Global Sales and Services Director


With a solid background in scientific software sales, you will use your expertise in niche technical sectors to lead a small team of 6 Account Managers (EMEA) providing guidance and support to your business partners.


This position will suit someone with strong technical sales & people management experience, with the tenacity and resilience to maintain and grow a thriving sales territory.

You must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of your time, within Europe.

Due to the nature of the business, a strong software sales background is highly desirable.


Working in a customer facing role with sales and support responsibilities, you will have excellent communication skills - additional languages would be a plus.


This is a challenging Senior position within a market leading organisation and you will be rewarded with a very generous compensation package (base salary + commission + car allowance).
