Hanham Health is a large, forward-thinking GP practice in South Gloucestershire operating over two sites (Hanham Surgery and Oldland Surgery) with a third branch surgery in Almondsbury.

Job Summary
As part of our Receptionist Team, you will assist and support the practice in providing an efficient, professional and welcoming first point of contact (both via the telephone and face to face) to all of Hanham Health patients and visitors to the practice.
Main Duties
- Telephone Support answer and deal with patient calls.
- IT
- EMIS, NHS Mail, Anima
- Front desk
- Greeting patients and consulting with members of the practice team.
Administration
- Filing of patient notes and updates as necessary e.g. change of address.
- Fax and photocopy as requested.
- Assist the practice with monitoring and ensuring daily tasks are completed/up to date.
- Processing post and other correspondence efficiently and promptly
Reception
- Provide test results to patients.
- Communicate effectively with other team members, patients, healthcare professional and external parties, adapting where needed.
- Answer and ensure all calls are answered professionally.
- Registration of new patients.
- Process appointment requests for today and future appointments from patients by telephone, online and in person using our Anima system.
