Overview:


Role Overview:


  • Lead the development and execution of the firms kubernetes strategy that aligns with overall business goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Engineering team, ensuring successful delivery of projects and initiatives
  • Facilitate the adoption of emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
  • Assist in managing continuous improvement of engineering, delivery, and operational practices.
  • Assist in developing engineering and operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality/SLA, and optimize delivery

Skills & Experience Required:


  • Demonstrates significant experience in a pioneering role that has been responsible for engineering Kubernetes solutions
  • Expectation to inspire others by leading from the front and driving selfimprovement.
  • Passion for innovation.
  • Assumes an automation first mindset.
  • Willingness to be hands on in what is a highly technical role.
  • Endtoend understanding of the systems development life cycle methodology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management.

Knowledge Required:


  • Background in Cloud, Platform, or DevOps Engineering
  • SME in Kubernetes and Container orchestration for both public cloud and onpremise architectures.
  • Familiarity with GitOps methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Proficiency in IaC, Configuration Management, and Orchestration tooling
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD
  • Experience with agile development practises
  • Indepth understanding of scripting languages with hightened emphasis on Python and Go.
  • Exposure to Service Mesh and Discovery i.e Consol or Istio
  • Knowledge of operating system fundamentals including diagnostics, tuning and monitoring of IO, Networks, CPU and Memory
