An opportunity has arisen within our organisation to support our finance team in keeping the cogs whirring and ensuring the financial processes are followed and continuously improved.
We are looking for someone who has come from a similar background, although not necessarily from the education sector to be able to carry out the following duties:
- Contribute to the effective running of the finance department
- Support the Finance Lead in processing finance administration duties
- Support the processing of payroll
- Support with processing of staff expenses
- Download and input data for finance personnel
- Communicate with internal teams to gather finance data
- Show diligence in monitoring financial compliance in line with organisational policy and legislative guidelines
- To complete other administration duties as and when required to ultimately support the internal finance team
The key taks in this role will involve:
- Ensure the highest amount of accuracy whilst completing all administrative tasks
- Report to the Finance Lead on a daily basis
- Communicate with the finance team and other departments on a regular basis
- Follow processes and compliance with the highest amount of due diligence
- Follow data security protocols
- Support the internal finance team with administrative tasks such as:
- Inputting data for payroll
- Analysing expenses/expense reports
- Analysis mileage claims
- Updating spreadsheets
- Using systems to download finance data
- Add/remove employees to and from systems
- Ordering and sending equipment/stationary to other teams/staff
We offer the opportunity to work remotely, although there will be an expectation for regular face-to-face meetings in our office in central Newcastle.
