The role:

Due to an exciting and sustained period of growth, they are looking for a talented Head of Engineering to realise the potential of the data their technology platform generates and support the company in its core mission.

This is a greenfield opportunity as there is little / no data function in place so, given your previous experience of the same, you will be expected drive the adoption of the preferred technology stack.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading investment management business and build a modern, event-driven Cloud data platform and so play a leading role in shaping the future state of the organisation and establishing a modern data engineeringteam.

Your responsibilities:

Initially standalone, it is anticipated that you will quickly work in a leadership role, being responsible for the design and build of the data platform and the subsequent management of your data engineering team.

This is a brand new, real-time, event-drivendata platform that will fuel the next generation of client experience, leveraging unique client behavioural data sets to create new and disruptive business models.

You:
- ?Experience as Engineering Manager or Lead / Principal Data Engineer

Experience delivering greenfield cloudbased data platforms
Experience engineering realtime eventdriven systems
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Strong leadership principles and experience of managing a small team
Curious and unafraid to experiment
Selfdriven, with an ownership for overall product, platform and code quality
