Equifind are supporting a global private equity firm based in London by St. Pauls to hire a VP level Financial Controller hire.

The Private Equity business focuses on a variety of asset classes and strategies and has an AUM of over £50Bn.

This hire is through growth due to the rapid growth throughout the firm.

Currently working in a hybrid work pattern, where everyone is treated as adults and the role is within a team of 15.

The Role:

They are hiring a VP to bolster their London team as deal flow is up significantly they are launching this critical hire as they look in to a busy 2023 ahead.

They see it as a greenfield project, a fresh role where you can come in and put your stamp on it.

A lot of the role is dealing with process improvement. The entities are complex and the outsource providers, for example the fund administrators, need to bealigned.

So the new individual needs to come in, find issues, assess policy and procedures and build out what good looks like.

You will be the point person for the BIG 4 auditors and deal team, to help streamline everything.

This permanent hire could be akin to a 6-12 month project in terms of setting out the framework and rolling it out.

It'll have a dotted line direct in to theCFO and the company is well known for progressing their internal members of staff and rarely hire at this level.
