We are excited to offer a position for a full-time permanent Assistant Finance Officer (
Assistant Revenues and Inspection Officer).


You will be joining a busy and friendly team maintaining Direct Debit payments, tracing non-payers, working through system generated reports and providing general support to the Revenues Teams.

The Revenues Team deal with Council Tax, Business Rates and Housing Benefit Overpayment accounts.

Working within the Shared Revenues Partnership, you will be providing administrative support for three Local Authorities:
Babergh, Ipswich and Mid Suffolk.


We are based at Grafton House, Russell Road, Ipswich, and we offer the option of homeworking for part of the working week.


About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
- the ability to organise, prioritise, analyse and work on your own initiative
- good communication skills and a strong customer focus
- ability to approach work flexibly with a can-do attitude
- experience of using Revenues and Benefits software systems is desirable
