The post holder will work alongside the team providing support in a range of administrative duties including sorting mail, answering telephone enquiries, managing general enquiries, some minute taking and meeting organisation and general office duties.
The post holder will be supported to develop lots of new skills including; prioritisation, attention to detail, using your own initiative, team working, communication skills and the ability to work in a busy and fast paced environment.
You will be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information and be able to remain calm under pressure.
You will present a professional and polite attitude at all times.You will learn and develop skills using Microsoft Office and NHS systems.

This is an 18 month fixed term apprenticeship and you must be committed to work towards level 3 Business and Administration.
As an employer, we will be committed to ensuring that a structured plan is in place to support and enable you to complete your apprenticeship.

Working as part of a team, you will support the Corporate Governance Team in the provision of a high quality administrative service.
Key duties will include; providing general office and administrative support to the Corporate Governance team, providing PA support to the Chief Executive, Chairman and Director of Corporate Governance/Associate Director of Corporate Governance as required, supporting diary Management, administrative tasks, note-taking, planning and organising meetings, including room bookings, ordering refreshments and managing room layouts, and support with organising, preparing and distributing meeting papers.
Person specificationEssential Criteria
Essential criteria
- 4 GCSE's or equivalent including English and Maths
- Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust's "We are here for you" behavioural standards
- Proficient typing skills
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship training
- Ability to demonstrate basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Good communication and telephone skills
- Understanding and respect of confidentiality in the workplace
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good customer care skills
- Able to communicate information using a variety of written and verbal communication skills
