Finance Assistant (permanent)

£30-35k per annum + study support + hybrid working

Aila are very excited to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing business in the heart of St Albans to find a confident and hardworking Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The business is scaling by acquisition and have justrestructured so it is an exciting time to be joining. They are currently around £35m turnover and have big growth plans for 2023.
The role is an all-round Finance Assistant position, responsible for AP, AR and bank reconciliation. There will be an opportunity to take on more responsibilities as the business grows.

Initially the role will be office-based for the first couple of months, moving to a hybrid model thereafter with 3-4 days in office moving forward.


Key Responsibilities:


Accounts Payable:

  • Monitor and administer "Paper to Data" (P2D), invoice approval process
  • Check postings into Sage Intacct
  • Ensure all invoices are processed in a timely basis
  • Supplier reconciliations
  • Assist on the weekly supplier payment runs

Accounts Receivable:

  • Maintain records on Access "Peopleplanner"
  • Maintain, run and post in Sage Intacct weekly invoice runs
  • Reconcile account on discharge

Ad hoc:

  • Assist on maintaining Team Members in Peopleplanner
  • Any other finance duties and project work as and when they arise

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in AP/AR, with excellent Excel skills, clear communication, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced growing business.
