Accounts Payable Clerk

£14 - £18 per hour

Aila is currently partnering with a leading, private equity backed hospitality business that has grown at a phenomenal rate since its inception in 2008.

They have recently announced a new acquisition which has increased their portfolio size from 7 to 20 sitesand boasts a £300m turnover.

They have grown rapidly and have become a true leader in the industry, and they're not finished yet. They have an amazing atmosphere both on their sites and their newly refurbished HQ in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

We're supporting them with the recruitment of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the company in a small team of 5 and support the team with a high volume of invoices for an initial 3-month temporary assignment.

You will be a confident and assuring individual with excellent communication skills and possess the ability to take ownership of Accounts Payable processes, in an energetic, social and fast-paced AP environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the AP team with a backlog of supplier invoices and ensure they're correctly allocated for payment
  • Receive and reconcile supplier statements on the Purchase ledger and deal with any account queries
  • Review trade creditors for debit balances and aging and provide support to the management accounts team
  • Perform the weekly BACs run
  • Provide analysis and data to Central Finance to support compliance obligations
  • Review and improve purchase ledger processes
  • Assist the Procurement Team on ad hoc projects
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk who can start immediately.
