We're looking for an Assistant Training Manager (Apprenticeships) to join a new Training Services Division


Salary:

The Role:


To support and work closely with the Apprenticeship Training Manager (ATM) to ensure that all aspects of the operational apprenticeships training delivery are effective.

The role will be key in providing day-day operational support to apprentices, and theiremployers (including workplace mentors), administering government learner/employer packs, utilising a range of software, and assisting the ATM as required.


Key Accountabilities:

  • To support the ATM to ensure that the Training Centre is maintained to provide an excellent training environment to apprentices that is open to employer visits and external unannounced inspection.
  • To identify business development opportunities by liaising closely with the employer to identify new apprenticeship recruitment or training opportunities. Assist/undertake training needs analysis (TNAs) to track opportunities.
  • To support the ATM to ensure that all aspects of the apprentice's onboarding are smoothly coordinated (onboarding paperwork, Training Plan, Initial Assessment, Skills Scan) and provide communication to their employer throughout the apprentice's programmefor effective updates.
  • To provide apprentices with pastoral support to ensure that they are assisted in attending their apprenticeship training programmes as outlined in their Training Plan.
  • To assist the ATM in delivering specific education and training (practical or theoretical as knowledge is acquired) to apprentices during their apprenticeship programme.
  • To assist the ATM /undertake progress reviews with the apprentice, and workplace mentor to ensure that the apprentice's progress is monitored and as expected.
  • To provide daily support to ensure that the apprentice's progress is monitored, tracked, and recorded
  • To work closely with Human Resources, Finance, and other Langley group service functions to ensure that employer paperwork /contracts are stored, apprentice's health, safety, and safeguarding are always maintained, and generally to ensure group servicesare aligned to the apprenticeship service/s.
  • Working closely with new employers supporting them in understanding the roles and responsibilities including setting up their Digital Accounts.
  • Provide assistance to coordinate the sharing of information in preparation for internal and external compliance/audits or general selfassessment reporting.
  • To support the promotion of Trailblazer programmes in collaboration with colleges and national awarding bodies.
  • To liaise with Contractors/employers to arrange, coordinate and deliver NVQs.
  • To support the ATM identify knowledge gaps and design effective learning solutions that ensure project compliance with statutory regulations and Best Practice guidelines.
  • To support the design and execution of the manufacturer's development programme, supporting the continuous professional development of employees.
  • To support the internal development programmes and external training for Contractors, proposing and leading the implementation of improved programmes, with a particular focus on new systems and products.
  • To ensure new products are fully and effectively integrated into the Company through close liaison with other departments.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE A-C, relevant professional qualification or equivalent in English.
  • Willingness to work towards the Level 3 Award in Education (AET) and or Assessor Course (A1)
