Description

Full on the job training will be given, so specific paint factory experience is good to have but not essential.


Working Hours
05:45am to 14:00 / 13:45 to 22:00


Key Responsibilities

  • Direct EHS responsibilities:
  • Technical input to investigations
  • Technical review of SOP's to meet acceptable levels.
  • Carry out Risk Assessments and assure compliance with legislation.
  • Technical compliance of Emissions output with associated improvements where necessary
  • Carry out CoSHH assessments.
  • Technical compliance of LOTO documentation and training methods
  • Delivery of continuous improvements to ensure the reduction in safety incidents.
  • Carrying out the lock off tag off when required.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and adhered to, lead root cause investigations and the implementation of corrective actions, participate in the site audit program where required.
  • Schedule and plan staffing requirements and deal with short falls caused by sickness and attrition.
  • Drive process flow improvements though embedding the Process Tracker and Communication Boards.
  • Support the production process in the reduction of cycle times and identify CI projects.
  • Carry out 5s work to improve engagement in both program and visual improvements.
  • Support production to achieve agreed weekly / monthly production plan and identify failure reasons and CI projects.
  • Continuously improving the process and the sustainability of the site.
  • Driving the reduction of waste within the process.

Qualifications

  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is highly preferred but not essential.
  • Diligent with a focused attention to health and safety is essential.
  • Educated to HNC or NVQ level III in an engineering discipline is essential.
  • 5 years manufacturing experience preferably within a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of carrying out Risk and CoSHH Assessments.
  • Understanding of the LOTO process
  • Excellent timekeeper with an exceptional work ethic is essential.
  • High integrity and trustworthy with the ability to establish trust and respect.
  • Ability to promote collaboration whilst inspiring change and delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills are essential.
  • Excellent computer skills particularly in MS Office Applications is essential.
