Description

Finance Assistant Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will assist the finance team in the smooth and efficient running of the accounts department. You will be reconciling sales recorded to cash received through the company's various online trading platforms.


Responsibilities:


  • Resolve any discrepancies identified due to imperfections in the automated matching process and differences arising on input.
  • Deal with the processing of a significant volume of transactions on a daily basis, whilst maintaining a clear track of workflows
  • Attention to detail in the reconciliation process whilst developing a working knowledge of how the online business operates
  • Using excel and the internal finance system (Kerridge) as part of the reconciliation process
  • Develop strong working relationship with operational staff in the online business
  • Clear and effective communication of progress of work, highlighting any issues to the appropriate colleagues as they arise
  • Occasional visits to the Online Sales team in Carlisle (approx once per quarter)
  • Resolving Supplier Queries
  • Other adhoc tasks as required
