Based in Telford, Shropshire, our client manufacture and distribute only the highest quality beef to foodservice professionals, wholesalers and retailers across the UK and internationally.nWe are looking for an experienced Hygiene Supervisor who's primary purpose is to ensure good hygiene standards are maintained within the organization.
The Hygiene Supervisor will oversee hygiene personnel to ensure they are aware of all chemicals used on site, adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, and report any damages or defects of machines and hygiene equipment.
Responsibilities of a Night Hygiene Supervisor include;nSupervise hygiene operators to ensure all cleaning is completed to the required standard, while adhering to personal hygiene rules and statutory health and safety requirements.nMaintain appropriate staffing levels and deputize for the Hygiene Manager when necessary, communicating any staff absences to the Hygiene Manager.nDevelop and maintain the company's hygiene documentation to meet customer and auditing bodies' requirements, ensuring all required documentation is completed and returned to the Hygiene Manager.nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by highlighting equipment issues to the engineering team and Hygiene Manager, conducting root cause analysis to eliminate downtime issues and Micro OOS.nEnsure Hygiene Operatives are trained and developed, monitor and deliver required KPIs.nAttend hygiene-related meetings as required.nPerform any other duties as deemed reasonable by the line manager or senior management.
Essential Criteria:
nFood Safety Qualification.nPrevious experience working in food manufacturing.nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.nTeam player with the ability to self-manage.nAbility to work flexibly to meet customer demands and the demands of the business.nAbility to manage timescales/deadlines.nTeamwork skills.
nDesirable Criteria:
nExperience in liaising with customers.nExperience in completing finished product specifications.nLabelling knowledge and awareness of relevant legislation.nAn internal audit qualification would be an advantage.
