    Area Sales Manager
    £40,000 - £45,000 + Car + Bonus
    Scotland

    The Role:
    • Develop existing accounts to achieve sales targets.
    • Problem-solving and proactive thinking.
    • Generate a network of customer contacts.
    • Set a Business Development plan annually with each customer contact.
    • Ensure sales with customers meet company profit margin expectations.
    • Achieve the annual sales and profit targets across the portfolio of customers.
    • Confirm & attend regional meetings with customers with the relevant Regional Manager/National Account Manager.
    • Ensure the UK office facility is used to host customer training, relationship building, business meetings, and range selection meetings during the year.
    • Advise the Company of the optimum pricing strategy to increase trading margins across the account portfolio while growing revenue numbers.
    • Set up representation at distributor and multi-site customer Regional Manager meetings.
    • Lead the resolution of any customer queries or disputes that might lead to customer dissatisfaction or delayed payments.
    The successful candidate needs to be a strong communicator both written and verbal, self-motivated, target-driven, professional, and dynamic. Strong numerical and computer literacy skills are required. Degree level education or equivalent by experience is preferred. Prior experience managing DIY and Catalogue Retail accounts is beneficial.
