Job description


To provide skills and positive behaviour training, and facilitate activities for Year 11 learners on our Summer School programmes to keep them engaged throughout the summer period until they progress onto their chosen destinations in either college or sixth form.

To provide innovative sessions with dynamic delivery to energise and inspire learners to succeed in their personal and professional lives.


Key duties and responsibilities

  • To provide meaningful training and support enriching activities for learners, including trips and activities. Activities will range from outdoor pursuits, sports, fitness, cinema trips, bowling, employer visits, etc which the lead tutor will support alongside qualified instructors.
  • To deliver classroom based sessions that provide evidence towards employability and personal development and underpinning any relevant qualifications highlighted in their referrals. Engagement units have already been developed such as Confidence Building, Preparation for Employment and Healthy Living.
  • To carry out meaningful assessments and reviews on learners to measure progress and identify actions and training needs.
  • To provide mentoring support to learners.
  • To try and ensure positive progressions for learners leaving
    INSPIRE Training.
  • To carry out any related administrative duties required, enabling the smooth running of the Summer School Programmes liaising with all management and administrative department.
  • To adhere to and promote
    INSPIRE Training's practices and policies.
  • Any other duties as requested by your Manager, which may be necessary from time to time.

  • To demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills including report writing skills.

  • The capacity to work as part of a team.
  • An ability to work on own initiative and meet set timescales.
  • General housekeeping duties.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 10 weeks


Salary:
£22,500.00-£24,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)
