Accounts Manager

Location - Broadstairs

£30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Benefits include company pension, paid annual leave and social events

Full-time hours

Do you have at least 2 years of experience with accounts software/processing?


Our client, a leading electrical manufacturing company is looking for a qualified Accounts Manager to join their highly successful team on a permanent basis.

Their range of products makes for a diverse and high-standard end product for the users.


To be successful in this role, you will have had at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and have a good foundation in accounts software and processing standards and regulations.

The role covers reporting and end-of-month/year account tie-ups andfinalising among other responsibilities


Responsibilities for the Accounts Manager will include

  • Preparation and review of management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all accounting data
  • Auditing and analysis of current results reporting to senior management
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting
  • Manage month & yearend procedures and assist with budget forecasts
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, dealing with depreciation, additions and disposals
  • VAT return preparation & submission & PAYE submission
  • Management and review of processes and yearly policies relating to finance and personnel
  • Assist in the production of information for audits and smooth yearend closure & liaise with Auditors
  • General Administration
  • Must be ACA/AAA or AAA equivalent qualified
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products is required for the role
  • A solid foundation in accounting software and databases is essential for this role
  • Previous experience in a similar role essential
  • Working knowledge of accounting regulations/laws is a musthave
  • A high standard of communication for interdepartment/stakeholders is a basic requirement
  • A proactive approach to work and tasks is highly desirable
