Assistant Formulator


STEM recruitment is excited to be working with one of the world's leading producers of high quality diets for the aquaculture industry.


The Assistant Formulator assists with the formulation of optimal cost recipes whilst ensuring both physical and nutritional quality through the process, accounting for the quality and availability of raw materials and customer specifications.


Main responsibilities will include:


  • Daily formulation of recipes
  • Recipe development
  • Pricing and planning
  • Development of recipe systems and processes
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in science
  • Previous experience of working in aquaculture
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience of using specialist software
  • Understanding of regulations relating to fish feed would be advantageous
  • Commercial acumen
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy in approach to work while working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to build productive relationships across the organisation

Working Hours:

37.5 hours/ Week office and on call. There are expectations to cover night time and weekends occasionally. Flexible and hybrid working available for discussion.
