Finance Business Partner
Salary:

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Type:
Permanent, hybrid role (2 days per week onsite)
Role Summary:
Here at Seashell we provide care and education for children and young people (up to 25 years old) with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairment and communication disorders and autism.
With an understanding of management accounts, this role will improve reporting and build relationships with internal Heads of Service and improve financial awareness.
This role will assist with the development of new systems and financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely information. To build key relationships which will ensure a greater understanding of the financial data provided to operational managers.Responsibilities
- Review, analyse / investigate & report on variances
- Review & approve all balances sheet reconciliations / accruals and prepayments
- Improve reporting and understanding of debtors
- Prepare analysis information and claim forms in respect of grants awarded to the charity and liaise with fundraisers or those charged with running the project. Improve reporting on restricted funding across the trust
- To prepare and analyse staffing levels/costs
- Hold regular meetings with Heads of Departments to ensure full understanding of financial information
- Assist the Management Accountant during the budget and forecasting process
- Assist with the planning and preparation for the annual audit
- Develop KPI's to assist the Finance department to monitor performance
- Develop financial awareness across the rust through improved reporting
- Investigate and identify areas where new software can assist the Trust
Requirements:
- Professional qualification: AAT / CIMA /ACCA or equivalent (part qualified considered)
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Ability to demonstrate a meticulous and accurate approach to work, paying attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, organise work tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to analyse, present, report and produce management information that will inform line managers in an accurate, clear and timely manner
- Ability to undertake additional project work alongside the daytoday running of the Payroll process.
- Ability to produce and understand complex monthly financial reports
- Good working knowledge of accounting software systems
