**FINANCE BUSINESS ANALYST - Immediately required
Our client, a renowned media organisation is seeking an experienced finance business analyst to join their team.

The purpose of the role is to work alongside the finance teams to achieve strong technical accuracy and meet reporting deadlines and any changesin accounting standards to assist with any complex accounting issues.

Will also be responsible for internal and external reporting, planning and analysis of financial issues within the business.

  • Job Type: Contract
  • Duration: 3 months with possibility to extend
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Rate: £400 a day
  • Location: London

Requirements:


  • Main point of contact for technical queries across the business
  • Playing a key role in determining the accounting impact of commercial decisions across monthly, budget and forecast reporting
  • Reporting on revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, foreign exchange, financial instruments, leases and fixed assets, investments, consolidation, and eliminations
  • Review and analysis of monthend reconciliations
  • Providing training to the wider finance community
  • Working with the business and key stakeholders to support the preparation of yearend financial statements and Group results
  • Support the accounting and reporting for a number of centrally managed areas including reporting on intercompany, consolidation including equity accounting, and oversight of elimination entries of interdivisional and intercompany trading
  • Liaising with external auditors to ensure smooth process and deadlines are met
  • Stay abreast of changes to accounting standards and maintain accounting policies across the Group
  • Other ad hoc work as required
  • Professional accounting qualification e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
  • Good spreadsheet and IT skills (prior experience of using S4 Hana/BPC would be an advantage, but training will be given as required)
