The Cancer Centre manage a variety of Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and you will be responsible for ensuring patients are discussed at these MDT meetings with all of the appropriate clinical information, and then expedited along their pathways following the discussion.
This role may require you to work flexibly to attend meetings that take place outside of 'core' working hours. There may be requirement to travel between City Hospital and QMC. You must be flexible enough to fit in with the requirements of the working week as it emerges.
This role is full time (37.5hrs per week), Monday - Friday. Permanent contract.

Main duties of the job

You will also be part of a team of key contributors in collecting and recording information required by national datasets such as Cancer Waiting Times, COSD and national audits.
We are looking for a person who can work as part of a team but also on their own initiative.
You need to be able to accurately record clinical information as it is discussed so excellent typing skills are desirable.
You will need to possess confidence to enable effective communication with various disciplines to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Typing and minute taking skills are essential along with the confidence to speak and manage a meeting in front of a group of people.
Initiative and a "can do" approach are vital and the versatility to accommodate changing priorities is essential.Previous NHS experience is preferable, and experience of hospital systems is advantageous.

Essential criteria
- 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including English Language
- Minute taking

- Able to use a computer for extended periods
- Accuracy with data entry and information tracking
- Able to work effectively and accurately under pressure does not panic easily

- Ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines and manage own time effectively
- Planning and organisation of a number of of complex tasks
