THE ROLE

The main purpose of the Stores Officer role is ensuring that the stores are maintained and accurately kept up to date.

Parts are picked and issued correctly and recorded effectively onto the central computer system, along with ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded and returned to stores.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

General stock control
Manufacturing Order picking
Goods in and Goods out Administration
Ensure operating procedures for the stores are enforced
Complete stock recording and positioning correctly in liaison with the Chief Stores Officer
Maintain effective stock control at all times
Undertake any other duties required from time to time
Efficient and accurate stock counting

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience:

Previous Stores experience, ideally in an engineering or manufacturing background

Professional Skills:

Experience using stock management software and/ or ERP systems such as Odoo
Good computer literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Personal Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks at once
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to work with mínimal supervision
