Role summary:
To assist the Financial Controller in the running of the daily routines of the Finance department in relation to the processing of financial transactions and analysis.
Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial reporting packs.
Key responsibilities and main tasks and activities:
- Preparation of daily cash book and monthly bank reconciliations
- Assisting in preparation of monthly Fixed Asset postings
- Assisting with the preparation of annual Budget and Forecasts
- Assisting with Credit Control duties to include cash posting, customer queries and order release.
- Assisting Purchase Ledger with scanning invoices and ensuring invoices are matched to Purchase orders
- Monthly reconciliation of Bank accounts and clearing control accounts
- Preparing and processing of monthly journals
Experience:
- At least 3 years' experience working in a finance role
- AAT (qualified or final stage) or CIMA ACCA studier
- Knowledge to work with accounting software
- Knowledge of Finance Policies and Procedures
- Able to work under your own initiative
- A proactive problem solver when dealing with client and supplier issues
- An excellent communicator capable of dealing with a variety of finance and nonfinance people
- Good analytical skills
- High numeracy and sound technical skills (Excel Pivot Tables etc)
- Attention to detail and an investigating nature.

Key Information:
We're all about output so we have Hybrid working and flexible hours in place - it's a full-time role hours per week), but we understand that people have lives outside of BE - please talk to us about what you need. We can't promise anything, but we're open to a discussion about how we can support you.
The current hybrid working arrangements are at least 3 days a week on the office (with the core day being Thursday).
Salary:
£23,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
