Description

We are seeking an Postdoctoral Research Associate with practical experience in protein NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography and biophysical methods of protein interaction analysis.

You will join the team of Dr Igor Barsukov on a collaborative BBSRC-funded multi-disciplinary project to study protein interactions of cell-matrix adhesion complexes.

The project aims to define the role of the adaptor protein tensin in the formation and stabilisation of the fibrillar adhesions, crucial for the regulation of tissue formation, integrity and regeneration.

Applicants should hold a Ph.
D. degree in Biological Sciences or Chemistry (or about to obtain).

The post is available for a duration up to 3 years.


Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.

Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
