Description

Neway is seeking a Gardener to join our client based with Preston City Council.

This role is starting asap, working Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm, initially for a 3 month contract.

Pay rate is £12 p/h PAYE (Equivalent to £15.01 umbrella)

Purpose of Job:

To carry out maintenance of horticultural features and amenities within the City.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

To undertake grass cutting duties using hand propelled and/or where appropriate self propelled machines
To undertake shrub bed maintenance work using a range of basic gardening tools.
To maintain sports pitches and bowling greens
To undertake a range of general duties associated with grounds maintenance work, including occasional litter picking, digging and other physical labour.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 months

Salary:
£12.00-£15.01 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
