    Role Overview

    Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team.

    As the Vario team grows, we are recruiting a Senior Specialist to support our MLS Delivery teams in ensuring that we are delivering a world class legal service to our practice groups and external clients. Reporting to our Senior Deliver Manager, the successful candidate will: ​

  • Lead on delivery of large projects and complex matters in collaboration with Legal Project Managers and/or matter partners​
  • Act as a subject matter expert in their field, advising fellow team members on work products and delivering the most technically complex work
  • Engage with lawyers and/or clients where appropriate regarding the delivery of work, agreeing structured ways of working to manage expectations ​
  • Work with Vario Practice Development Manager to develop and deliver technical training on relevant issues​
  • Mentor less experienced members of the team​
  • Support scoping and solution design of working winning activities
  • As a subject matter expert, you will work on a range of Property Development work types, collaborating with team members and taking the lead in managing the delivery of Property Development work to lawyers and clients
  • Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.

    Candidate Overview

    We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience of working on Property Development work types
  • Broad experience of working in a large, commercial law firm
  • Understanding of levels of service and capabilities required in alternative delivery models
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
