Description

Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General Operative to join our company and work in the Granulation team based at our Edlington site in DN12.

Role:
Assisting the foreperson in all aspects of the safe and efficient running of the production machines and facilities.

Responsibilities:

Report any faulty machinery straight away after becoming aware of the fault.
Ensure that all the machines are running efficiently to maximise the output.
Ensure that you are wearing all required PPE as per the SWP's.
All product is correctly packaged and labelled. (No handwritten labels)
Always maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure that you have the correct training and have signed off all relevant SWP's.
Ensure no contaminants enter the granulators (rubbers, wood, steel etc).
Make sure any Health & Safety checks are carried out as required.
Continually improve the processes in the department to increase efficiencies.
Perform any other duties reasonably requested.
Adhoc use of the FLT.
