We are looking for a new Curator of Collections to join our small and devoted Collections Team in caring for, interpreting and displaying our fabulous collections and buildings to broad and multifaceted communities.

We are also looking for someone who has the qualities of a leader, experience line managing and is happy developing people, as there are two Assistant Curators to lead in this role.

You will need to be able to manage multiple projects and work streams effectively and efficiently. High standards, great people skills and a smile go a long way in our friendly Team. You would be joining our relatively new Head of Learning and Museums & Galleries Manager.

We also have great Visitor Services, Learning and Business Teams working in our places, in addition to a sterling Cleaning Team, and we regularly collaborate with a diversity of local and national partners.


The collections include significant and large proportions of Archaeology, Fine & Decorative Art, Social & Industrial History, Natural Sciences and our fantastic Photographic Archives, spread across our four public places; Bolling Hall, Bradford Industrial Museum, Cliffe Castle Museum and Cartwright Hall Art Gallery.

In addition, we operate out of two separate Collections Stores within the Bradford District.

From Bees to Pre-Raphaelites and Treasure Hoards to Trams, we have a great range of collections to explore, research and make accessible, including a Designated collection of Worsted, sitting at the heart of Bradford's industrial history.
